Marketing for a one-person company: search, newsletters and social
Search first
Google Search Console is free and shows the queries a site already appears for. Semrush adds what it cannot: keyword research, the pages competitors rank with, a site audit, rank tracking and backlink data. Pages written for a query you can answer keep bringing visitors long after they are published.
A newsletter you own
GetResponse sends newsletters and automated sequences, and hosts the landing pages and forms that collect the addresses. Use double opt-in, and remember that every message needs an unsubscribe link and a postal address to comply with anti-spam law.
Social, scheduled
Buffer keeps one queue for several networks with a calendar and post analytics, so writing happens in a batch and publishing happens on schedule.
One person, one channel at a time
Search content compounds, so it comes first. The newsletter is second, because the list is the only audience you own. Social is third, and scheduled, so it takes an hour a week rather than an hour a day. Measure with the free tools before paying for the rest.
